Robert Miehls Obituary

FORT JENNINGS — Robert A. Miehls, 85, of Fort Jennings died 9:17 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born July 21, 1935 in Fort Jennings to the late Hubert and Johanna (Potts) Miehls. On August 20, 1961 he married Judy Calvelage, who died January 4, 2001.

Bob is survived by a son: Glenn (Carol) Miehls of McComb; 4 brothers: Thomas (Janice) Miehls, James Miehls, Kenneth (Doris) Miehls and Michael (Dianne) Miehls, all of Fort Jennings and 3 grandchildren: Olivia, Jeff and Brad Miehls.

He is preceded in death by 2 sisters-in-law: Joyce Miehls and Evelyn Miehls.

Bob was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings and retired from Von Sossan Contracting.

Bob loved his grandchildren dearly. He loved keeping up to date on their sports teams and other interests. He loved taking them fishing. Bob was proud to see Brad win Grand Champion at the Fair for his Dairy Feeder. He also enjoyed learning as much as he could about history.

The funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and again Wednesday at church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass.

Due to COVID-19 restitutions, masks and social distancing are required upon entering the funeral home and/or church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com
