Robert F. Mikulewicz

On December 10, 2023, Robert Mikulewicz (87) of Prompton, passed away peacefully at Wayne Woodlands Manor. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Magalski) Mikulewicz, son Brian and wife Jane of Prompton, daughter Kathleen Brewington of Prompton, and son Steven Mikulewicz and friend Pam Stephens of Honesdale.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Francis Kliwinski and husband Walter of Weirton, WV and Alice Magalski and her husband Edward Jr.
Robert was born and raised in Forest City, PA and after graduation enlisted in the Army where he was deployed to Germany. After returning home from the service he was employed at SJ Bailey and Sons where he worked in the shipping department until retirement. He was also involved in his community by serving on the Prompton Boro Council and Prompton Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of St. Rose of Lima church in Carbondale, PA.
Robert was thankful for and enjoyed his friends playing on numerous softball teams, horseshoe and bowling leagues; hunting on the family farm and Canadian fishing trips. He is also known for his walks with his dogs on the back road where many kind individuals stopped to say hello.
A Blessing service will be held at Hessling Murray Funeral Home in Honesdale on Thursday December 14th at 11am with interment immediately following in St. Mary's Cemetery, Honesdale. In Lieu of flowers any donations can be made in Robert's name to Prompton Fire Department, 638 Prompton Rd. Prompton, PA 18456.
