Robert Louis Milanowski, 88, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. He was born on August 10, 1937, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Thaddeus and Virginia Milanowski. Robert graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School, where he distinguished himself as an All-State Guard in football — an early reflection of the discipline and determination that would define his life. He later served in the US Army Reserves. Robert dedicated over 40 years of his professional life to Clarke Industries, Inc., where he held several leadership roles, including Branch Manager and Production Control Supervisor. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and meticulous attention to detail, earning the respect of colleagues throughout his long career.
Robert and his beloved wife of 65 years, Joan Milanowski, were active members of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springdale. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus serving in Michigan and Arkansas. He was the Grand Knight of the St. Raphael’s Council and member of the 4th degree. Robert also dedicated time to community service through the Lions Club, where he was honored as Lion of the Year. Football remained an important part of Robert’s life. In addition to his accomplishments as an All-State Guard in high school, he later served as a coach at St. Jean's, St. Francis, and Muskegon Catholic Central Junior High, mentoring young athletes and helping shape their confidence and character. He found great joy in playing golf, working in his yard and garden, and traveling to visit family and friends. Robert took pride in keeping his yard, garage, garden, shed, and cars meticulously organized and spotless — a reflection of the discipline and care he brought to every aspect of his life.
Above all, Robert’s greatest pride was his family. He loved talking about his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, and nothing brought him more happiness than time spent together. Robert will be remembered for his steady presence, dedication to family, commitment to his work and community, and the pride he carried in all he did. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the example he set.
Robert is survived by his wife Joan Milanowski; his two sons, Mike Milanowski and wife Sheryl, and Brad Milanowski and wife Carol. He was a proud grandfather to Matt Milanowski and wife Darian (and their son Alessandro), Chris Milanowski and wife Rachel, Tyler Milanowski and wife Rebecca, Ashley Milanowski (Hale) and husband Tanner, and John Milanowski. He is also survived by his siblings, Warren Milanowski and Naomi Milanowski.
