Robert Keith Millage, affectionately known as "Bobby" to his family was born December 13, 1957, in White Earth, MN, the oldest son of Verna (Morgan) and Clark Millage. He started elementary school in Mahnomen, where then the family moved to the Detroit Lakes, MN, area, and Bob attended Rossman Elementary. As a young teenager, Bob moved to Fergus Falls, MN, to continue his education and skills later entering the workforce. Bob kept busy working at Productive Alternatives, Inc. in Fergus Falls. He really enjoyed living and working in Fergus Falls and continued living there until the time of his passing. He was working at Walmart, where he enjoyed his job and had been with Walmart earning him a five-year service award, which he was very proud of his accomplishments.
Bob was a very loving, caring soul and had a tender heart for those he loved -his family! One of the happiest times in his life was realizing he was going to be a father and then again in March of 2003, when his grandson, Michael, was born. While living in Fergus Falls, Bob enjoyed many activities that kept him busy like bowling, walking and biking that kept him physically fit in his early years and listening to favorite Rock bands, especially KISS. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sport teams: MN Vikings, Twins and college sports; where he knew all the scores and players by name. He loved his Ojibwe culture and collected eagles and wolves and to attend Pow Wows was a joy in his life. Thrifting with his sisters was always a treat as he knew all the neighborhoods to find the best treasures. His favorite holiday celebration was the 4th of July with lots of fireworks. Bob was very fortunate to have gone on several cruises, most memorable was to Alaska and Hawaii and he was so looking forward to the next one.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Stacy Millage of Detroit Lakes, MN, grandson, Michael also of Detroit Lakes; two sisters, Kim (Mark) Lage of Audubon, MN, and Sheree Millage of Ogema, MN; and several nieces and nephews near and far. He also had several special people in his life he treated like family including Mary, Darlene and his close worker, Amanda.
