Robert Allen Miller

Robert Allen Miller, 90, of Gastonia, died May 14, 2024. He was born on April 8, 1934 in Gaston County to the late Eckerd and Florence Miller. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was in the Masonic Lodge of Mooresville. Robert was an active member of Alexis Baptist Church for many decades, where he sang in the choir. He worked in acquisition for Duke Energy for many years. Bob loved playing golf, gardening and spending time at the Outer Banks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Rachel Miller; son, Tony Miller and wife Starlyn of Morehead City, NC; daughters, Susan Cole and husband Gene of Charlotte and Julie Concepcion and husband Bert of Huntersville; siblings, Hazel Rankin, Joyce Lewis and Lois Garnette; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexis Baptist Church, 118 Alexis Church Road, Alexis, NC 28006 or Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Donita Dr., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Friday, May 17 at Alexis Baptist Church.
