Robert Bryan Miller, 92, of Bayboro, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at The Gardens of Pamlico in Grantsboro.
A lifelong resident of Bayboro, he was deeply devoted to his community and faithfully served it throughout his life. He proudly served as a past mayor of Bayboro.
He was also a member of the Bayboro Masonic Lodge No. 331 for more than 60 years as well as a Worthy Grand Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1988. His commitment to these organizations reflected his strong moral character and lifelong desire to serve others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Cindy Miller; his beloved wife of 72 years, Evelyn Miller; his precious daughter, Debra Miller Watts; and eight siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Ricky Miller (Paula) and Randy Miller (Sharon); son-in-law, Foster “Babe” Watts; his brother, Ellis Miller (Nancy); grandchildren, Matthew Jones (Erica), Brent Jones, and Macy Watts Payne (Lee); and his cherished great-grandson, Hunter Jones. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held Sunday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Miller officiating. He will be interred privately at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service for one hour, concluding at 4:00 p.m.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of The Gardens of Pamlico, Pamlico County Hospice, and Waynette Rowe for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to Mr. Miller and his family.
