Robert E. Moe Sr. passed away peacefully after a brief illness with cancer on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ruble L. Moe and Myrtle H. Moe; his brother, Johnny Moe; stepson, Charles Fitzgerald; and grandchildren, Amber Moe and Bryan Moe.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Freda Moe; his children, Cheryl Carter, Marty (DeLisa) Moe, Robert (Keely) Moe Jr., Susan (Michael) Maniscalo, and Douglas (Demi) Moe; his brother, Fred Moe; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, his first wife, Zennie George, who shared in raising their five children.
Mr. Moe was a Korean war combat veteran, had a deep love for music, bowling, square dancing and community service. He enjoyed working with his hands, building and helping others.
A special thanks to Deaconess Hospice and the Singing River Cancer Center staff and physicians. A memorial service will be at 11 am on Saturday, January 27th at the Recognized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Vancleave, MS. Friends are invited to visit from 10 am - 11 am.
