Robert Montanaro Sr. of Walden, NY died on January 25, 2025. He was 73. Son of the late Michael Montanaro and Saveria Pipitone, He was born on August 30, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a laborer for Yellow Freight for many years in Maybrook. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; Julie Ann C. Montanaro; son, Robert Montanaro Jr.; grandchildren, Camryn Montanaro, Robert Montanaro III, Taryn Montanaro, Christian Montanaro, Kiley Montanaro and Grace Montanaro; sister, Diana VanHoran; several nieces and nephews and Cat "Ringo"
Robert was predeceased by his parents; son, Christopher Michael Montanaro; siblings, Carmine Montanaro, Patricia O'Brien, Anna Ross, Josephine Montanaro and Louis Montanaro.
In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions to the American Foundations for Suicide Prevention.
A visitation will be held on Friday January 31, 2025 from 3-6 at the Anita L. Vandermark Community Center 97 Sherman Avenue Walden, NY 12586. Funeral services will take place at 6 PM following the visitation.
Interment will be private.
