Robert Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2026.
Robert Benjamin Moore of Rolla, MO, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 78.

Robert "Bob," was born on June 1, 1947, to the late Robert Capps Moore and Phyllis Joyce (Robbins) Moore. Bob worked as a house painter in Rolla.

Bob met the late Linda Sue (Lane) Moore while they were attending Central Bible College in Springfield, MO, and fell in love. They married and had two children, Christy and Matthew. After Bob graduated from CBC, he and Linda devoted much of their life to ministry in campus outreach and children's ministry at First Assembly of God in Rolla. They also did city outreach with their local church when they lived in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Bob was a curious, intelligent, life-long learner who was interested in science, theology, and cosmology. He took joy in building and inventing things, loved to travel, and had fun spending time with his seven grandkids. Bob enjoyed listening to and composing music as well as singing and playing the guitar and ukulele. Most importantly, Bob was a kind, gentle, thoughtful man who treated others in the way that he thought they would want to be treated. In this way, he made the world a better place just by being in it.

Bob will be deeply missed by his family: Bob's daughter, Christy Lenzi, her husband, Alan Lenzi, and their children, Jules, Noah, and Joshua of Stockton, California; Bob's son, Matthew Moore, his wife, Michele Moore, and their children, Morgan, Matthew, Mason, and Maelyn of Millerton, NY; Bob's brothers, Dan Moore and his wife, Katherine Moore; Tim Moore and his wife, Ann Moore; Sam Moore and his wife, Margaret Moore; Bob's sister, Melody "Dee" (Moore) Riley and her husband, Rex Riley; and Bob's second wife, Merry-Ken (Piper) Moore.

A memorial gathering for Robert B. Moore will be held at Grace Bible Church, 902 Arkansas Ave., Rolla, MO, on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 3-5pm. Family and friends are invited to attend to share memories, stories and fellowship in celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in his memory you do something kind for another person, as Bob would say, "with joy!
