Robert Eli Mora, affectionately known as “Bobby,” passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at 11:11 am surrounded by his loved ones and the compassionate caregivers who supported him at the end of his life. Bobby was born on July 5th 1962, in Denver, Colorado, to Ruth Gloria Martinez.

Bobby was the fifth of seven siblings and grew up surrounded by family. He attended Menaul High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he graduated in 1980. Bobby dedicated much of his career to being a home manager, taking great pride in caring for the home of Swanee Hunt—an ambassador, philanthropist, and U.S. diplomat and her daughter, Lily, supporting their household in countless ways. His work reflected his dependable nature, generosity, and quiet commitment to caring for others.

He was an active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Denver. Throughout his life, Bobby was known for his warm heart, artistic expression, sense of humor, gentle spirit, and the love he had for his family, especially the younger generations who brought him so much joy. He also shared a special bond with his beloved cockatiel bird, Lulubell, who brought him comfort and companionship.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Castellano, and his grandparents, Eli and Lila Montoya whom are welcoming him into paradise with open arms.

Bobby is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth Martinez; his siblings, Lereen Castellano, Diana Castellano (Bob), Theresa Mendoza (Danny), Vernon Martinez, and Tina Martinez (Joseph); as well as nine nephews, five nieces, and several great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he adored dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church, located at 1395 King Street, Denver, Colorado 80204. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Bobby’s life.
