Abraham Mora, 83, of Salinas, California, passed away peacefully on February 19,

2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 19, 1942, in Salinas to Rudolfo and Dorothy Mora, Abraham

graduated from Salinas High School in 1961 and proudly served in the United

States Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked more than 20 years for Lubin

Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and integrity.

A devoted member of the American Legion Post 31 Honor Guard and a loyal

Raiders fan, Abraham enjoyed live music, traveling, and hosting family

barbecues. He will be remembered for his laughter, quiet strength, and deep love

for his family.

He is survived by his children, Nadine Mora, Monica Moreno (Ozzie), and Gilbert

Tapiz (Melanie); 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his siblings, David

(Berta) Mora, Ruth Mora, Sarah Mora, Dotty Mora, Steve Mora, Rudy (Ruth) Mora,

Frank (Dina) Mora, Helen (Kurt) Gonzalez, Sam Mora, and Barbara Cerda; and

many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Anna; his brother Daniel; his

sister Martha Casteneda; his sister-in-law Alicia Mora; his niece Michelle; his

brother-in-law Raymond Cerda; and his nephews Steve Mora and Jacob Mora.

A viewing will be held from 12:00–3:00 p.m., with a memorial service from

3:00–4:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Struve & Laporte Salinas. Burial will be

held at 11:00 a.m. at the VA Cemetery 2900 Parker Flats Rd. Seaside, CA
