Mark Mora, 59, of
Corpus Christi, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2026.
He was born in Corpus Christi on March 11, 1966, to Marcelino and Maria Mora, and was raised with his five siblings in the same city he loved throughout his life.
Mark graduated from Carroll High School in 1984. He later completed the Electrical Apprenticeship Program with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), which led to his Professional Journeyman Electrician License.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Stacey Mora; his three children, Julissa, Alyssa, and Spencer; and his two grandchildren, Asher and Alcide. He is also survived by his siblings: Maricella (Manuel) Zaragoza, Mike (Cynthia) Mora, Melissa (Scott) Chapman, Marty (Roxanna) Mora, and Manuel (Yesenia) Mora, aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He found immense joy in his family and loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren with his whole heart. Becoming a grandfather brought him a special kind happiness, and nothing made him smile quite like time spent with those he loved. His family was the light of his life.
Mark was a truly kind, thoughtful, and generous man with an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued…Mark was always there - no questions asked. He had a quick wit, a big heart, a beautiful big smile and a natural gift for lighting up any room he walked into.
From Friday night poker games to three-day cook-off competitions, Mark lived life fully and joyfully. He was known for staying up all night tending to the briskets with a Miller Lite in one hand and a cigar in the other, making sure everything was just right for the judges. Even if he took his time during a Texas Holdem game, it was all part of his charm.
Mark spent decades as a Bucarader, proudly working his way up to serve as president, and even Parade Marshal! He loved his Bucarader family, and every event and memory made alongside them.
Mark embodied his favorite saying:
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid-in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, BBQ rib in one hand and beer in the other, screaming 'Wow - what a ride!"
A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, 4357 Ocean Drive, in
Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mark lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Mark's legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love will be carried on by those who knew and adored him.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
