Robert George Muckleroy was born 11 Sep, 1971, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. He was the 7th child born to Charles Edward Muckleroy and Mary Ellen Lyman. He passed from this life on Tuesday, 18 Jun, 2024, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, after a brief but valiant battle with cancer.
He was the 7th of 9 children raised by Charles and Mary on their 5-acre piece of land in the Old Diana Community in Upshur County, Texas. He attended all grades of school at Ore City Schools and graduated in 1990. After graduation, he worked in retail sales, industrial non-destructive testing, industrial manufacturing, auto body repair, food service manufacturing and long-haul truck driving among other things. One of his passions in life was making broken and worn-out things work again, especially old cars.
He was married and divorced twice before he met the love of his life, Audrey Marie Wells. They were married on 30 Mar, 2024, just 2½ months before his passing. He had one child, Nita-Jo Kathleen Muckleroy, born to him and his 2nd wife, Sidney.
Left to preserve his memory are his wife and daughter; 3 brothers: Allen Martin Muckleroy and wife Vikki, Stephen Alonzo Muckleroy and wife Dawn, and Russell Lee Muckleroy and wife Michelle; 3 sisters: Esther Marie Ramos and husband Kenneth Wheatley, Dorothy May Badger and husband Trent, and Christina Lucile Wilhelm and husband Steve; 1 aunt, Glenda Muckleroy Cox; a special friend, Angela Branson; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Gary Albert Muckleroy and Kevin Wayne Muckleroy; 2 nephews: Moises Viviano Ramirez and Sean Carl Muckleroy; 2 aunts: Claudean Muckleroy Smith and Deloris Muckleroy Justice; and 3 uncles: Jerry Smith, Lamar Justice and Joe Cox.
Burial will be in Kelsey Cemetery, Upshur County, Texas. A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date.
