Robert worked many jobs, a feed mill on High Street, he worked for Mack McCollum at White Sulfur Trucking, in the White Sulfur area. Then, he went to work for United Cities Gas Company, where he retired from, and United Cities was bought out by Atmos.
At retirement, United Cities gave Robert and his wife free health insurance for life. Atmos had to honor this agreement of free insurance for 26 years for Robert, and 25 years for Ruby. This was a wonderful gift.
