Robert H. Naillon was born on July 22, 1967, in Wyandotte, Michigan. He was one of three children born to the union of Benny and Glenda (Muncy) Naillon. After graduating from Woodhaven High School, Robert answered the call of duty and joined the United States Army, proudly serving his country. During this time, he earned his mechanical certification amongst several other honors. Robert was extremely patriotic and was proud of the time he spent serving in the Armed Forces.

Later in life, Robert continued his service to fellow veterans with employment at the Ann Arbor Veteran's Hospital until June 2025.

As a man of faith, Robert dutifully studied the Bible. Incredibly well-versed in scripture, Robert knew the good book inside and out. His family admired his devotion to God.

Robert was a private, simple person who enjoyed reading and learning. He was incredibly intelligent with a nearly photographic memory. A gifted man, he could recall various facts on almost any subject. He offered a wealth of information to those who knew him and was known for his interesting conversations. If someone sat down and spent time with Robert, they left having learned something new.

A man of many talents, Robert had numerous skills and hobbies which he enjoyed to keep his mind sharp. Robert was an excellent chess player and won nearly every match; and he was also an incredibly gifted guitar player with a deep appreciation for music. From his time in the military, he had become a decorated marksman, and he continued to impress his friends and family with this skill throughout his life.

Robert was a fantastic cook who could make most anything delicious. Making a meal to share with his family was one of his true joys. But his truest delight was always the time he spent with his family as he loved them above all else.

Robert Naillon, age 58, of Monroe passed away in his home at 3:16pm on Sunday; September 28, 2025, with his sisters by his side.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved parents: Benny and Glenda Naillon; one son: Luke (Holly) Naillon; two granddaughters; two sisters: Stacy (the late Patrick) Pearigen and Cindy (Mike) Wasil; three nephews: Andrew (Morgan) Pearigen, Corey Pearigen, Nathan Wasil, and David Wasil; and two nieces: Moriah (Dalton) Roark and Micaela (Andrew) Scully.

His care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A private graveside service was held on Thursday; October 3, 2025, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
