Robert A. Neeley Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert A. "Bob" Neeley, Jr., who peacefully left this world the morning of January 2, 2026, at his home, surrounded by love and the cherished memories he leaves behind. While we mourn the loss of Bob's steadfast presence in our lives, we find solace in knowing he has at last been set free from the pain he suffered, stemming from his lifelong battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Born on January 12, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, Bob was the beloved son of Robert A. and Dorothy U. Neeley. He grew up in Pennsauken, NJ, where he attended Pennsauken High School. He went on to attend Tusculum Presbyterian College prior to working at Precision Drawn Steel, where he met his future bride of 58 years, Mary Sue Corley. This was the beginning of his long career as a Senior Buyer for various steel manufacturers, including Transamerica DeLaval in Trenton, NJ and Columbia, KY, Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbor, MI, and Sullair Corporation in Michigan City, IN.

Bob was known for his offbeat sense humor, gift of gab, and charismatic personality, and will be remembered for his love of jazz, his passion for justice, and his unique ability to spot a bargain. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, watching college basketball and discussing current events.

He is survived by his wife and their four children: Cindi (Tony) Campos of Oxford, GA, Stephen (Kathy) Neeley of Kalamazoo, MI, Dawn Garritano (Ryan Gast) of Baroda, MI, and Ryan (Christine) Neeley of St. Joseph, MI. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild: Mia Campos; Max and Logan (Camryn Vogt) Neeley; Kiana, Devin and Tayah Lewis; and Colin, Josh and Micah Neeley, Calvin Neeley. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Shaffer.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, at Duffield and Pastrick Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00pm. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories. Memorial donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Arthritis Foundation.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Your presence, kind words, and acts of kindness have provided immense comfort and strength.

In our hearts and minds, Bob will forever remain an inspiration - a guiding light that illuminates our paths. May his spirit sing among the angels, and may his legacy continue to inspire us to live each day with purpose, and unwavering determination.
