Age 85, of Wheeler, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at his home with family by his side.
Robert was born May 13, 1940, in Wheeler, the son of August and Ethel (Bowden) Neitzke. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1957. Robert served in the US Air Force for four years. He married Cheri Denman on May 21, 1966, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Robert worked for Dow Corning as an operations scheduler before his retirement. Robert was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking and family vacations.
He is survived by his wife Cheri, son Bill (Lori) Neitzke, daughter Tammy Neitzke, grandchildren Ryan (Amanda) Neitzke, Rachel Neitzke, a great granddaughter and a great great granddaughter.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents August and Ethel and siblings Barbara Sherwood, Fred Neitzke and Gene Neitzke.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 3 to 7 pm at the Lux and Whiting Funeral Chapel, Breckenridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Park Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gratiot County Commission on Aging or MyMichigan Hospice.
