Robert Maurice Nicklay

Robert Nicklay passed away on August 18, 2025 at the age of 89, days short of his milestone 90th birthday. Born September 3,1935 in Barnesville, MN he was the youngest of Leo and Nellie (Stuber) Nicklay's six children and last of his generation as his brother, Lyle, died just 4 days prior. Robert married Arlene Maier in 1959 and spent 63 extraordinary years together creating a beautiful life with their ten children. He is reunited in heaven with Arlene, his daughter Michelle, his parents, siblings Grace (Jerry) Darr, Earl (Catherine), Lucille (Al) Dillon, Kathleen (Ozzie) Engquist, and Lyle (Jose). He is survived by nine children Renee (Al) Seran, Ann (Dan) Casper, Bobbi (Lon) Black, Jill (Todd) Englesgjerd, Marty (Kathy), Mark (Angela), Margaret (Brad) Messerschmidt, Mike (Rebecca) and Pat (Heidi); 27 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren with another due in October. Mass of the Christian Burial and interment at Resurrection Cemetery will be held privately to honor Robert's life and legacy.
