Jeremiah 18:6
People of the Lord, “Can I not do with you as a potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand,” oh people of God.
We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert Cornielius Nieuwdorp. Robert went to be with the Lord at his home in Torrance California, on the 3rd of November 2025.
He is survived by his only child Patrick Cornelius Nieuwdorp, Patrick’s girlfriend Brielle Cary and Patrick’s children Kha’leesi, Infiniti and Eon, Robert’s beloved former-wife Patricia, Robert’s brothers Dirk and James, a host of church family and his CET family.
Robert was born is Passaic NJ and lived in New Jersey, The Netherlands, Nevada, Arizona and California. He was most recently employed as a state certified field service technician in the petroleum industry at CET.
Robert grew up, with his mother Cornelia and brothers in New Jersey and moved to California as a teen. He worked as chef, mechanic and driver. He married Patricia in 1986, and they had their only child, Patrick, in 1989. He loved heavy metal, OZZY, shared a passion for aerospace with brother James, and loved his family most.
Robert endured many hardships in his lifetime but redeemed the time in the last 6 years of his life. He came to know the Lord again, professed that Jesus is Lord, witnessed for the Lord, volunteered at church outreaches, reconnected and took care of Patricia and, most recently in August, visited with his son Patrick, who lives in Wisconsin and Patrick’s children, Kha’leesi, Infiniti and Eon.
Our family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Jeremiah 18:23
But you, LORD, know all their plots to kill me. Do not forgive their crimes or blot out their sins from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.
