Robert "Bobby" Terry Nixon, 67, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Grays Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Bobby was born on October 20, 1958, in Randolph Co., the son of the late Robert Wesley Nixon and Myrtle Ingold Nixon. He graduated from Asheboro High School, class of 1976. He retired from city of Asheboro after 30 years. He and his wife, Blanche, ran Daniels Read-A-Lot Used Book Store from 2004 to 2017. Bobby loved people and animals and would do anything to help. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to anyone.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Blanche Nixon; brother, Tommy Franklin Nixon; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
