Robert L. "Bob" Noppert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 15, 1932, Bob's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his love of the outdoors, and his honorable service to his country.
Bob is survived by his cherished wife, Marcia Noppert, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. His legacy continues through his children, Robert (Karla), Holly, Scott, and Todd (Hillary) Noppert; his step-children, Robert (Brandi) Filut Jr., Kim (Mike) Wall, and Deb Filut; and his sister, Ruth. Bob was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
His life's journey began as the son of John and Grace Noppert and grew alongside his siblings, Hank, John, Jack, Jerry, Janet, Klasena, Joyce, and Barb, all of whom preceded him in death. Bob's early years were a testament to his strength and character, as he bravely served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, where he also showcased his boxing talents.
Following his military service, Bob became an active member of the Comstock Park American Legion Post 47, where he formed lasting friendships and continued to serve his community. His work ethic was unparalleled, as evidenced by his long-term dedication as the head of maintenance at Ramblewood Apartment Company, from which he retired after 50 years of committed service.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob's passion for hunting, fishing, and golf were well-known to his friends and family. He spent countless hours in nature, which was his sanctuary and source of peace. Bob's love for playing cards was another joy in his life, providing him with both entertainment and companionship.
Above all, Bob adored his loving wife Marcia and his family. He was a steadfast presence, offering love, guidance, and support at every turn. His sense of humor, kindness, and generosity were as boundless as his ability to fix anything that needed repair. All who knew him understood his devotion to Michigan Football and his constant "Go Blue"! Bob's commitment to his loved ones was unwavering, and his influence on their lives will be everlasting.
The memories of Bob's laughter, wisdom, and the love he shared will continue to comfort those who knew him. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose, and marked by the countless lives he touched. Bob will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on through the stories told, the lessons he imparted, and the love he gave so freely.
As we say goodbye to a remarkable man, we celebrate Bob's journey and the indelible mark he left on the world. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Robert L. Noppert's life will be honored by his family with a time of gathering at the Bueschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, MI 49321 on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm followed by a short prayer service and concluding military honors being presented by the Kent County Veteran's Honor Guard.
He will be laid to rest with a private family interment at a later date. Rest in peace, dear Bob, until we meet again.
