Robert O'Gara Obituary
Age 81, of Mt. Lebanon, on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Son of the late Michael and Margaret (Hopkins) O’Gara. Beloved husband of Sally (Snyder) O’Gara. Dear father of Brian and Kevin O’Gara. Loving grandfather of Genevieve, Aislin, Imogene, and Vivian O’Gara. Brother of the late Bernie O’Gara (Marty). Brother-in-law of Dave Snyder (Ginnie) and Steve Snyder (Joan). Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Bob retired from Point Park University as a Professor of Advertising & Marketing Communications. He also was the Manager of Communications Services for Koppers Company. Bob was on the board of Mainstay Life Services and was an Education Advisor to the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. He was also in the Public Relations Society College of Fellows. Bob served in the Air National Guard. Family and friends are welcome 2-4 and 5-7 PM Friday, October 11, 2024, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) Blessing Service, 7 PM Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Bob O’Gara Scholarship at the Public Relations Society of America, Pittsburgh Chapter or Mainstay Life Services.
