Robert Gene O'Neal, 61, of Cartersville, passed away comfortably in his home with family by his side on Monday, August 18, 2025. Born on May 21, 1964, in Ellijay, Georgia, he was the son of Carroll Witt O'Neal and the late Martha O'Neal. He is also preceded in death by his son, Kaleb O'Neal; brother, Dallas O'Neal; and several aunts and uncles.

Robert loved the outdoors. He would go camping, work on tractors, and fishing. He also enjoyed growing his vegetable garden with Audrey each year.

Along with his father, survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Rebecca O'Neal; daughter, Roxanne Reed; son, Jayden O'Neal; honorary son, Brandon James; sister, Jinger Burkett; brother, Shane O'Neal; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Old Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Carter, Caleb O'Neal, Randy Stamey, Earl Scruggs, Brandon James, and Robert Casterline.

Parnick Jennings Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Robert Gene O'Neal.

May the angels be healing the family in time .May he be in no more pain . May he, Granny,and uncle dallas be sitting around a bonfire with watermelons,and fishing waiting for the rest come. He will be missed by all who knew him
