Robert Charles Oesch, 44, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on July 3, 2025.
He was born to parents, John and Marie (Vandegrift) Oesch, on June 28, 1981, in Alliance, OH. He married the love of his life, Kristin, on June 24, 2006. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family - especially kicking around a soccer ball with his three sons.
Rob joined Amsted Rail on September 5, 2006, as Marketing Manager. Over nearly two decades, he held several roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as Vice President, North American Commercial. A passionate advocate for the rail supply industry, he also served as Chair of the Railway Supply Institute's Board of Directors. Rob's dedication and leadership left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Oesch. Leaving behind to mourn his loss are his wife, Kristin (Goeb) Oesch; mother, Marie Oesch; children, Cameron, Brody, and Sully Oesch; sister, Amanda (David) Gregory; nephew, Orion Gregory; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There are no services planned at this time. The family is being served by Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034.
