Robert Olsen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hansen Mortuary Chapel - Phoenix on Feb. 27, 2026.
Rob was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and brother who leaves behind his wife Leslie, his boys Chase and Chris, his grandchildren Noah, Owen and Enzo and his sisters Debbie and Danny.

Rob fought hard for the last few years against all the challenges life threw at him. But he'd never let you know it. He remained strong, steadfast, and prideful until the end. He was the first one at every soccer or football game for Noah and was patiently waiting in the hospital lobby for Owen's arrival the day before his birthday.

Although we would've loved to spend more time with him, we all know Rob likes to keep everything he owned in pristine condition. It's no surprise he wanted to get out of here before he got too old. He wanted to keep the miles low just like his 6 series.

We believe he was welcomed into Heaven by his mother, father and Achilles. Yvonne Olsen being the first to greet him since she was insistent on being the first to wish him a happy birthday every year and we're sure nothing has changed.

Despite his period of being an exotic bird owner to Keoki the cockatoo, we all know his favorite pet was Achilles (no offense to Bailey). This was the dog that made him a dog guy. Funny thing was that Achilles was afraid of horses and Rob was a true Arizona cowboy who used to be apart of the Phoenix Rodeo. That goes to show that Rob was someone you could love despite any difference in interests, opinions, hobbies or the like because his love had no boundaries.

You didn't have to be family to be treated like family with Rob. He had a big heart and welcomed everyone with open arms.

Despite many career achievements, his greatest accomplishments will always be spending 39 years with the love of his life and raising 2 boys that went on to become the best dads to 3 incredible grandchildren.

Many of you will remember Rob as the little league baseball coach. He showed up for every kid like they were his own. Instilling grit, determination and commitment in each one of them. As adults we see how time consuming jobs and the outside world are, but Rob never skipped a practice or game when he was coaching. He found so much joy on the field with his boys.

Some of Rob's other favorite past times include day trips with Leslie driving with the top down in the Bentley to Prescott, going to gun shows and computer swap meets with his sons, daily exercise on his favorite Peloton machines, printing out his favorite photos of his family on his swanky photo printer, Barrett Jackson with friends, enjoying a glass of top shelf whiskey, parking himself in a beach chair for endless hours at Kiawah beach with the Morley's, dinners with Debbie and Brad, and any and all activities with his grandchildren.

Much like his mustang, it feels like his work here wasn't done, but his family and friends are committed to finishing where he left off and living life to the fullest in honor of the legacy he left. Rob knew life's too short to drive boring cars.

Rob was always in search of the best deal even if it only meant saving a few bucks. Yet his life was filled with priceless moments we'll remember forever.

Rob, may you rest in peace and continue to follow and protect us on this open road that is life. And with that we'll leave you with the words of Keoki Olsen - "I love you".
