Church Funeral Services & Crematory - Baton RougeRobert passed away August 29, 2025 in Zachary, LA. He was born September 22, 1953 in Fort Hood, TX and moved to Louisiana around the age of 12. He graduated from Central Private in 1972 and began working at Crown Zellerbach the same year, retiring after 41 years and many name changes to the mill.
He was a man of integrity, responsibility, and resilience. He was steadfast in all aspects of his life. He loved classic cars...looking at them, restoring them, collecting them, but mostly working on them. He was a dedicated and loving son, brother, and father. He was most proud of his grandchildren and was the best Pawpaw Robert.
He is survived by his father James Oudkirk, sister Kathy Withycombe, daughter LaTrelle Cart, grandchildren Joseph, Georgia, and Jack Cart, great-grandson Lee Cart adn his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Rosemary Oudkirk, sister Janet Newburn, brother Dale Oudkirk and son-in-law Joey Cart.
A memorial will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11am at the Slaughter United Methodist Church in Slaughter, LA to remember and celebrate his life.
