Robert Owen Obituary
Robert (Bob) James Owen passed away on September 18th, 2025 at the age of 88, with his family gathered in his Springville home.
Bob was born to the late Earl Thomas and Bernice Clayton Owen on February 22, 1937 in Porterville, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, LuEslie Ann Owen and his brother, Clayton Earl Owen. Bob graduated Porterville High School in 1957. Followed by attending Fresno State and Cal Poly Panoma. Bob was also in the AirForce National Guard. Bob is survived by three daughters, Becky Clark (Jerry), Shelly Lovelady-Shubin (Jimmy), Kimberly Owen; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Bob married Ann Sheldon in 1963, lived in Porterville until they relocated to Springville in 2005.
Bob was a citrus grower all of his adult life. Earlier years he was co-owner of Owen Brothers Trucking. In 1978 Bob started 5 O Land Company which specialized in commercial and Ag Land Sales. In 1989 Bob and Ann developed Associated Realty and acquired several rental investments. They enjoyed selling real estate together for many years. Bob served on the Parks & Leisure Board for the City of Porterville.
A Graveside services will be held at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery, 639 S Foothill Ave, Lindsay, California on Thursday, September 25 th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
Bob was a loving father to his three daughters and devoted husband, he will be greatly missed.
