Robert W. Paradowski

Robert W. Paradowski, 92, of Durhamville, passed away Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rome where he had been a resident since December 7, 2023.
He was born on December 30, 1932, in Oneida, the son of William and Mary Helen (Dzik) Paradowski. He was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1951.
On February 26, 1955, Robert was united in marriage to Betty B. Phillips.
Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Robert was a self-employed contractor for over forty years, retiring in 2002.
A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Catholic faith attending St. Francis Church in Durhamville for most of his life.
He was a life member of the Durhamville Fire Department and served as their Parade Chairman for many years. He was a member of the Durhamville Vets Club. He was an avid golfer, bowler, snowmobiler, and hunter.
Surviving besides his loving wife of seventy years, Betty; are his two daughters, Paula (William) Terwilleger, of Durhamville, and Elizabeth (Mike) Smith, of Canastota; six grandchildren, Robert Pawlikowski, Renee (Rich) Smith, Anne Marie (Jake) Fink, Kimberly (Rob) Barton, Theresa Pawlikowski (Danny Brown), and Christopher (Brittany) Eddy; fifteen great-grandchildren; a niece, Elizabeth (John) Krisko, of Annapolis, MD; and his canine companion, Sadie. Robert was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Louise and William Mayer; a niece, Barbara A. Mayer; and a nephew, Christopher J. Mayer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, beginning with a prayer service at 1:00 PM at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida, followed by his Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph's Church, 121 St. Joseph's Place, Oneida. Interment with Military Honors will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Durhamville, in the spring. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
