Robert D. Parman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Dwayne Parman, 79, of Gladstone, Missouri. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and Navy veteran, who left us peacefully on September 9, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born on April 7, 1945, in Mexico, Missouri, Bob dedicated his life to service, honor, and family. He proudly served in the United States Navy from January 1968 August 1971, where he was stationed aboard the USS WRIGHT (CC-2). Bob is survived by three children, Mark (Cynthia) Parman, Amy Parman, and Robert (Monica) Parman and his grandchildren, Hailey (Dylan) Dicks, Marcus (Samantha) Parman, Orion McKay and Kaylee Parman. He is also survived by his sisters Sue (Bill) Wallingford and Marka (Jim) Barker, his brother, Don (Susan) Parman, and 3 step children, Stephanie (CJ) Deppen, Jeremy Bankston and Chris (Keri) Bankston as well as great grandchildren, and many dear friends who will remember him for his warm heart and infectious love for telling a joke.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on November 9, 2024 at the American Legion Post 61, 5125 North Bellaire Ave in Kansas City starting at 1:00pm with military honors to follow; in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of Bob's service to our nation.
Bob will be deeply missed but will live on in the memories and stories shared by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
