Beloved husband of Renee, nee Makowski; Loving father of Robert (Jenifer) Pastore, Lisa (Thomas) Boland, and Gregory (Towa) Pastore; Proud Papa of Sarah, Michael, Sophie, and Lily Pastore; Nora, Nieve, Tommy, and Annie Boland; and Lucca Pastore; Devoted son of the late Antoinette, nee Serritella, and the late Louis Pastore; Dearest brother of Joseph Pastore, the late Camille (late Mike) Patricelli, and the late Jerry (late Ann) Pastore; Fond brother-in-law of David (Dory) Makowski;
Dear uncle, great-uncle, and great-great uncle, and friend to many.
Bob devoted 40 years of his life to music education as a beloved band director in Burbank School District 111. Even after retiring, his passion for teaching never faded. After just one year of retirement, he returned to the band room, sharing his love of music teaching 5th grade students in North Palos District 117 for another 12 years-this time alongside a former student, a testament to his lasting impact. Bob was more than a teacher; he was a true family man. He deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. Outside the classroom, Bob found joy in playing his piano daily, traveling, sports, cars, catching up with friends, and even watering his lawn-a simple pleasure he took great pride in. He also proudly served as President of the Marist Father's Club giving back to a school and community he loved.
