Mr. Robert Lee Patrick Sr.

In Loving Memory Of
Robert Lee "Alabama" Patrick Sr. was born June 20, 1948 in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Alfred Clark and Ateline (Dubose) Patrick. He received Christ at an early age, and for 30 plus years he served as a devoted member at Nativity Our Lord, in Detroit, MI.
He was educated in Mobile Public Schools at Mobile County Training School and Carvers Vocational State School.
Robert and his family relocated to Detroit, MI in 1969, shortly after arriving he began his career at Ford Wayne Stamping Plant. He went on to devote 40 years of his life before retiring in 2009. Many of us have heard his coined phrase of, "I work for a living," and that's exactly what he did.
Robert lived and breathed Ford but wasn't retired for long. His first career encompassed all the things he loved; cars, fellowship with his fellow Alabama migrates and family. In 2010, he began a second career at Trinity Transportation, where he could showcase his love for driving and sports. He loved calling family and friends to let them know, "I'm in Ann Arbor at the Big House!"
He loved to drive, especially his mobile home, and we all know his first stop after any trip was to detail his car.
At any given time if you drove by the house, you could catch him in the yard manicuring his lawn. He loved winning awards for his yard. He took pride in taking care of his family, working and his lawn. He would say, "I am defending your honor."
Robert leaves to cherish his loving memory: three (3) loving daughters, Kimberly White, Ciera (Eric) Cheatham and De'Marja (Musaaleh) Raheem; two (2) sons, Robert (Kesi) Patrick Jr., LePay (Caryn) Harris. Nine (9) grandchildren, Kei'Andre (Keyria) Gibbs, TeKyra Harris, Quincy Woods, Norman White Jr., LePay Harris Jr., Jeremiah Pettway, Kyleigh Patrick, Kayla Boykin and Nuri Raheem and five (5) great-grandchildren. Eight (8) sisters, Geraldine (Arthur) Foy, Savannah (Julius) Young, Emmaline Moore, Alfreda Perry, Kathy (Doug) Leslie, Vanessa (Horace) Jones, Dial Monroe and Beverly (Peter) Vanesette. Four (4) brothers, Thomas (Kathy) Patrick, Larry Clark, Ahab (Latonya) Clark, David Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ateline Patrick and Alfred Clark, along with his sisters Jocelyn Patrick, Shirly Patrick and Barbara Clark.
