Robert Paul

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert Paul, 63, of Keyport, NJ on February 1, 2026. Bob was born November 7, 1962 in South Amboy, New Jersey to Ann Rita (Minihan) and Peter Dickinson. He was a lifelong resident of Keyport. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Christine Orrico. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Ann Smith, his brother Thomas Dickinson and his sister-in-law Debbie and his nephews and niece. He is predeceased by his mother and father.

For 45 years, Bob dedicated his life to the art of hairdressing, turning a simple chair into a place of confidence, laughter, and connection. Known for his skilled hands, creative eye, and clever wit, Bob believed that great hair could change not just how someone looked, but how they felt. Clients often arrived as customers and left as friends. As of late, he was the proprietor of Hair, a salon in Keyport.

Bob's other passion was renovating old buildings. He saw possibility where others saw decay and with patience, vision and hard work, he brought neglected spaces back to life. His talents can be seen in several buildings in Keyport and will serve as beautiful reminders of his creative abilities.

Additionally, Bob previously enjoyed golfing, motocross, scuba diving and working out. Bob loved listening to music, completing Sudoku, cooking, gazing at the seagulls at the Keyport waterfront and watching Jeopardy with his wife. A parishioner of Community Church of Keyport for over 40 years, he could be found each week worshipping in the back row. Bob found comfort and solace in his faith.

Above all, Bob was a wonderful husband, cherished family member, and a dear friend. Bob was funny, thoughtful and always had a good story to tell. He was a go-getter and always had a project in the works, even up to the end. He loved talking to people and encouraged others to be their best selves. Bob made everyone he met feel special and enjoyed lending a helping hand. He gave generously of his time and love and his absence will leave a space that cannot be filled. Bob will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Relatives and friends will be invited on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held Thursday February 12, 2026 10AM at Community Church of Keyport. His cremation was private.
