Robert Lee Peachey, 79, of Denver, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.
He was born in Ephrata, son of the late Warren T. and Fern L. (Frankhouser) Peachey and was the husband of Donna (Johnson) Peachey with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Robert was an avid golfer and hunter. He was fond of street rods and enjoyed attending car shows. He was a long-time fan of the Phillies and Penn State Football. He loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Robert attended Ephrata High School. He worked as a welder for Redman Industries. He retired as head custodian at Cocalico Middle School in 2016.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by, son, Jeffrey Peachey; stepdaughter, Marci Reider, stepson, Kurt Reider, husband of Rosie; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Hanah, Olivia, and Ayden, 1 great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Jack Peachey.
The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at the Ephrata Cancer Center for their care. We would also like to thank the home team
of Hospice and Community Care as well as the Mt Joy staff for the phenomenal care they provided for Bob.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm, with Pastor Jonathan Yoder officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, American Cancer Society, or Wellspan Ephrata Cancer Center.

I met Bobby in 1964 working at Dutchmaid. We enjoyed many great camping trips and great times together. I will miss you greatly. Rest in peace my dear friend.
