Robert Perna Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Perna, 55, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 3, 2023. Bobby was born in Stamford on February 26, 1968, to Jeanne Mary DePalma Perna and the late Anthony John Perna.
Bobby was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was always good for laugh or a joke; a one-of-a-kind personality and a truly unforgettable character. There will never be another. Nobody can take your place.
Bobby is survived by his mother Jeanne Perna, his sisters Lisa Longo and Julie Perna, his nieces, and nephews; Lindsey Longo, Jason Longo and Jamie Longo, his great niece and nephew Jagger and Mila Rose, all of Stamford, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m.. Interment will be private.

My sincere condolences for the passing of such a young man . May the beautiful memories of his life console you now and forever ! I recall a Julie Perna from grade school at Saint Mary's school . I know its 50 plus years ago but wanted to extend my heartfelt thoughts if this is the same family . All of us from back in the 1960s plus have a point of showing respect to family's from childhood ! Our parents installed this in our lives . So I'm praying for his soul and family in this most difficult time ! Even if I'm wrong at least my thoughts are the same ! So it remains a prayer just the same ! My God Bless His Soul ! Comfort to those that grieve his loss !

I will forever cherish the memories made with "uncle" Bobby throughout the years. He was always so full of life and you never knew what to expect from him, whether it be his hilarious sense of humor and his ability to make an entire room laugh, or how he could fix anything with ease, or his amazing skills in the kitchen - he truly was a man of all trades in all the best ways and his presence will be forever missed.
