ELIZABETH E. "BETTY" PERNA (nee Scarvelli) age 75, beloved wife for 56 years of Ernie, Jr; loving mother of Renée Campana (husband Charles) and Ernie, III; devoted grandmother of Chuck (fiancé Heather Fox), Alex, and Justin Campana, and Leonardo and Genevieve Perna; cherished daughter of the late Carmello and Carmella (nee Musarra) Scarvelli; dearest sister of Mike Scarvelli (wife Corrine, deceased), Carmen Scarvelli (wife Toni), Russell Scarvelli (wife Teresa), Michelle Wilcoxson (husband Phil), Rosemarie Tyler (husband Scott, deceased), Ramona Scarvelli, and the late Nicholas Scarvelli (wife Bernadette); sister-in-law of the late Joe Perna (wife Gail, deceased); dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many.

Betty was born October 31, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1967 and went on to work for many years as a pre-school teacher. Betty found joy in practicing her faith and listening to Christian and 50s music. Betty also loved to cook, especially for her greatly adored grandchildren. Betty was a feisty, strong-willed spirit with a great sense of humor and friendly disposition. She is remembered for her devotion to her family and her faith, and also for her hospitality- never letting you leave her home without taking food.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11AM at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Entombment following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Betty on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2025, 4 - 8 PM.
