Robert McKellen Perry, age 76 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on July 18, 1947 the son of Albert and Lucy (Thomas) Perry. McKellen had worked for Somerset Hardwoods and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working, but being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest enjoyments in life.
His parents precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn (Steele) Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; son Steven McKellen “Red” Perry (Virginia) of Burnside, Kentucky; daughters, Patricia Cabrera (Ventera) of Waynesburg, Kentucky and Amy Alvarado (Oscar) of Eubank, Kentucky; brother, Kenneth Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sisters, Betty Catron of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Flonnie Ledbetter of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Bonnie Jean Peters of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and Dinia Howser of Grays, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3pm June 17, 2024 at the Pleasant Knob United Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating. Burial to follow in the Perry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1pm Monday at the Church.
