Robert Phillips, 71, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Johnson City, NY. He had the gift of gab with family and friends. He collected antiques.
Robert is survived by his spouse, Roger Miller of Binghamton, brother Paul Hauptfleisch Jr., sister-in-law Linda Cichostepski, brother-in-law Jean Claude Cichostepski, sister-in-law Barbara Blackman, nieces, Erica Hauptfleisch, Sara Hauptfleisch and Laura Cichostepski, nephew and niece Ryan and Kate Cichostepski, great niece Emma Ann Wilson and cousin Maryellen Palmatier. He leaves behind close friends Lydia and Sean Buell. Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Hauptfleisch.
At Robert's request there will be no services or visitation. Memorial donations can be made in Robert's name to The Humane Society of Binghamton, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903.
