Robert Shawn Purcell

Robert Shawn Purcell, 62, of Oologah, OK, passed away on November 5, 2025. Robert was born on September 21, 1963 to Gary L. Purcell and Sandra S. Wester in Tulsa, OK. Raised in the Tulsa area, he would join the Army in 1980 and serve until 1982. Robert owned a Hot Shot business before becoming a Pipeline Inspector in 1990. On July 2, 2016, he married Dawn Marie Purcell and they have been together for a loving 9 years. Robert played baseball as a kid and enjoyed cheering for the Oklahoma Sooners. His most precious time was spent with his grandchildren. He was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Sibling. His step-father, David Wester and grandmother, Naida Buckman preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Dawn Purcell,  father Gary Purcell and wife Kaye, mother, Sandra S. Wester; children: Lyndsey Renee Purcell and her children Zaine and Sevy Wilcott, Bailey Machelle Guthrie and husband Wyatt and their child Charlie, Cobey Guy and wife Chelsea and their children Ainsley and Aiden, Curt Lanham and wife Shelby and their child Easton, and Shawn Lanham; brother Dave Ray Wester and wife Dawn, step brother Shannon McNamar; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
