Robert Gregory "Bob" Quade

Robert G. Quade, age 57, passed away October 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Amery WI, the son of Philip Quade and Ruth (Henck) Spencer.
Bob graduated from Hudson High School in 1985, and married his high school sweetheart, Laura Grekoff, in 1990. They moved into their first home in Hudson in 1994, and celebrated 34 years of marriage in September.
Bob spent several years in the construction business before taking a role at Andersen Corporation, where he stayed for the next 17 years. Bob supported Laura in her career, and took an "early retirement" to move and support her out East in Pennsylvania, where they lived for 5 years before moving back home and building their forever home!
Bob was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and especially looked forward to the annual deer hunting season at Camp Couderay with his sons and extended Quade family, plus the numerous fishing tournaments with Uncle Bill. Bob made an impact on everyone he met and was a good friend to many. The world got a little quieter October 5th when Bob left us.
Bob was predeceased by his mother Ruth Spencer; grandparents Bernard & Marcella Quade, and Florence & Herman Henck; nephew Christopher Dykes; sister Stacey (Quade) Johnson; and father-in-law Richard (Dick) Grekoff. He is survived and remains in the hearts of his wife Laura (Grekoff) Quade; sons Jacob Quade & wife Olivia, Hunter Quade, and Trevor Quade; grandson Theo Quade; father Phillip Quade; brother Troy Quade & wife Amanda; brother-in-law Larry Johnson; sister Mindy (Spencer) Dykes & husband David; brother Tedd Spencer; nephews Brantley Grekoff & wife Jamie, Adam Dardine & wife Gina, Josh Dardine, Isaac Dardine & wife Jordyn, Parker Dardine, Luke and Braden Quade, Payton Spencer & wife Becca, Connor Dykes, Kevin Johnson; nieces Joselyn Dykes, Sydney and Carson Spencer.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, October 11th, at 3:00 pm with a memorial service at 5:00 pm, at the Hudson Civic Center Ice Arena. Those who wish to honor Bob in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Rhinos Foundation at rhinosfoundation.org. A special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Lakeview Hospital and Hospice for their supportive and loving care.
