Robert "Bob/Bobby" Melvin Quinn, aged 72, passed away February 19, 2026, peacefully at his home in
Siler City, NC.
A native of
Abington, PA, Bob was born April 10, 1953, to the late Robert Vincent Quinn and Doris Catherine Butterfuss.
Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970-1976. After separation from the USMC, he worked in the Dept. of Corrections in PA & NC and then Machinery until his retirement.
Bob moved to NC in 1989 where he married his beloved wife, Vicki Sue. They were happily married for 34 years until her passing in 2023.
In his leisure time Bob enjoyed his dogs, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He loved building and fixing things; always having tools and supplies at the ready for anything that needed fixed. His favorite outing was finding a new antique shop to explore. On any given day you could find him relaxing on the porch with his dogs or watching any type of veterinarian or animal show.
In addition to his beloved wife, Vicki, and parents Bob is preceded in death by his stepfather Roger Butterfuss and brother-in-law Roy Eberz.
Left to cherish his memory, Bob leaves behind his Children - Suzanne Gaines (Darrell), Robert Quinn Jr, Heather Quinn, Ryan Quinn, Zachary Quinn (Chelsea), and Alexis Quinn. Grandchildren – Stone and Brenleigh Gaines, Damian Gioia Jr, USMC SGT Kenneth Hoover, Kaiden Hoover, Revin Quinn, Robert W. Quinn, Taylor and Luke Simpson and Wrenley Quinn, who he adoringly called "babydoll". Great Grandchildren – Ayden Gaines, Ella Gioia, and Finley Burgess. Siblings – Glennda "Chick" Eberz, Frank Quinn, Colleen Whitt, and Kelli Quinn Read. Sister-in-Law Diane Brady. His favorite fishing sidekick Trevor Hayhurst. His many beloved friends, cousins, nieces and nephews from Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and California. Lastly, his animals, Tinkerbell, Stormi, Bambi, and Sophie.
His happy place was being home, playing with his dogs and sneaking them one too many treats.
He will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his steady kindness, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
