Robert "Bob" Ragan, 78, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025.

Born on October 9, 1946, in the Perry, Georgia area, Bob lived a life grounded in faith, family,

and a deep love for all things mechanical. After graduating high school, he attended Southern

Technical Institute before serving proudly in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1966-1967. Upon

returning home, he completed his studies at Southern Tech, transferred to Georgia Southern,

and earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He later received an MBA from Mercer

University.

In 1970, Bob married the love of his life, Nancy, and together they built a marriage that lasted 55

years. His career reflected his dedication and talent, with roles at Western Electric, Buttrill

Construction, Southern Bell, BellSouth, and AT&T. After his retirement, he worked at LPB &

Associates with one of his best friends, Brian. Bob was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill

Presbyterian Church, where he lived out his faith in community and service.

A true enthusiast at heart, Bob "had oil in his blood" and delighted in anything with wheels. He

also treasured time spent with family, whether at gatherings, cheering on his grandchildren, or

enjoying simple everyday moments. His Saturday breakfast group and Tuesday coffee group

brought him much joy and fellowship.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Ragan; daughter Gerin (Rick); son Drew (Kelly); and beloved

grandchildren Abby (Beau), Max, Imogene, and Andrew. He also leaves behind sisters Joyce,

Farise, Becky (Johnny), brother Jerry (Joyce), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear

friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Johnnie, and his brother Billy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or

The Salvation Army, causes close to Bob's heart.
