Robert Rajski Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Robert Andrew Rajski, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on June 27, 1945, in Chicago, IL, Bob was a man of great faith, love, and practical skill, whose life was a testament to the values he held dear.

Bob proudly served his country as an Army veteran during the Vietnam War, a period that shaped much of his character and resolve. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Chicago, where he would eventually marry his High School sweetheart and the love of his life, Sharon Tejcek. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect, raising their son, Timothy, in a home filled with laughter and life's simple pleasures.

A man of many talents, Bob was known for his handy nature, always ready to fix a broken appliance or work on a home improvement project. His skills were matched only by his generosity, as he was often the first to offer help to neighbors and friends. Bob's commitment to his faith was unwavering, and he lived as a true example of Christian values, spreading kindness and compassion wherever he went.

Bob's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He found solace in the quiet of the woods, whether he was casting a line into a tranquil lake or tracking game through the forest. His passion for fishing and hunting was only rivaled by his talent for grilling, where he was the undisputed master of the barbecue, much to the delight of his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude Rajski (nee Marshinski), and his brother, Richard. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his wife, Sharon; his son, Timothy; his brother, Donald(Gerri); many nieces and nephews; and his adored grandchildren, Landon and Benjamin, who will miss their grandfather's gentle wisdom and infectious smile.

Bob's life was full of duty, devotion, and joy. He was the embodiment of a loving, faith-filled, handy man, always ready with a tool in hand or a prayer in his heart. His presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of his love and the strength of his spirit will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we bid farewell to Robert Andrew Rajski, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a soul now at peace. His journey on earth may have concluded, but his story will be told for generations, inspiring all of us to live with the same integrity, warmth, and faith that he did. Rest in peace, Dad/Grandpa/Husband/Brother/Uncle/Etc; your memory will forever be a beacon of light in the lives of those you touched. I hope the Miller's are cold and the fish are biting… Until we all meet again..
