Sherry Arias Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sheldon-Goglin-Kaminski Funeral Home on Mar. 6, 2026.
Sherry Arias, a beacon of love and selflessness, departed this world on March 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of boundless care and devotion. Born on August 29, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, Sherry's journey was one marked by an unwavering commitment to her family. She passed away in the same city that had been her lifelong home, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Sherry, known affectionately by her given name, lived a life that exemplified thoughtfulness in every action and every relationship she nurtured. She was the beloved wife of Edmundo, and together they built a life filled with joy and purpose. Sherry was a cherished mother to her five sons, Brandon, Justin, Mundo, Jason, and Kian, each of whom was a testament to her incredible ability to love and inspire. Her siblings, Cliff and Liza, knew her as a sister who always led with her heart. Her best friend Mary cherished the companionship given to her by Sherry as nothing short of a gift of immeasurable worth. Sherry's love extended to her five grandchildren and one great-grandson, each a sparkling jewel in the crown of her life's achievements.

Educated at Lakeview High School and Prescott Grammar School, Sherry's academic journey laid the foundation for her remarkable career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. For 40 years, she dedicated herself to the well-being of others, showcasing extraordinary compassion and care that touched countless lives. Family, friends, and even strangers were embraced with the same warmth that defined her life. Yet, ask her about her greatest accomplishment, and she would humbly tell you it was being the best mom to an amazing family.

Sherry's Catholic faith was a guiding light, providing strength and solace throughout her life and during her illness. She lived her beliefs through her actions, embodying the love and grace at the core of her faith.

Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing soul. Sherry found joy in baking, her kitchen often filled with the sweet aroma of her cookies. She had a natural talent for arts and crafts, channeling her creativity into beautiful expressions of love for her family and friends. Sherry had a special knack for transforming her home into a wonderland for every holiday, much to the delight of those who had the privilege to step into her world of festive cheer. Coffee was her constant companion, and she cherished the moments spent sipping and sharing stories with her closest friends. Above all, Sherry's dedication to being the best mother was evident in every facet of her life.

Loving, selfless, and thoughtful-these words only begin to capture the essence of Sherry L Arias. Her life was a testament to the power of giving oneself wholly to the service of others. As a motivational force, she inspired those around her to embrace each day with kindness and generosity. Sherry's life was a masterclass in the art of living and loving without reservation.

Let us carry forward the torch of Sherry's spirit, illuminating the path for others as she did for us. Her memory will continue to motivate us to live fully, love deeply, and care passionately. Today, we celebrate Sherry Lee Arias, a woman whose life was a profound reminder that the most extraordinary legacy is that which is etched on the hearts of those we leave behind.

This is not goodbye, this is I'll see you when I see you.
