At family functions we shared stories of our children from their time as teenagers to adulthood. We were Godparents to my niece Jamie. I looked at family photos and see Bobby's smile. Bobby loved his Chicago White Sox. Miss you Bobby

I met Robert and Banana Joe after moving to AZ. My favorite memories are having a bite to eat at Texas Road House while watching the games and talking about sports. He loved his Chicago teams. I took him to chemo appointments when he was too weak to drive, and for something to eat when he wasn't up to getting his own. We checked on him nearly every day but he didn't want to be a burden. Now I wish I could tell him he was never a burden to anyone. So many of us helped him. I found him on that terrible Saturday morning. When I realized he had left us I just said "Oh Robert" and sat down and cried. A family member contacted his favorite priest who came to his home to do a service. He was loved by everyone here. Robert, sleep well my brother. I won't forget you.

Robert was a good friend. I enjoyed time with him, both at work and on a personal level. Our colleagues and I trusted him with high quality of care delivered to our patients. I also appreciate his insightful advice whenever we had a roofing problem. The best of all, he always had plenty of jokes to tell. I shall miss the good happy laughters with him!

I had the pleasure of working with Robert at Rush. He was a good partner and always put the patients first. None of us are perfect, but Robert always tried to make everyone around him better. My condolences to his family. I will miss my friend.

Robert was a kind soul and I will miss him. He invited my family to a White Sox game and my daughter Caroline and Kristin hung out together there - and again years later when we brought them both to the Cancer Survivors Day event at work. He was so kind to our patients and was skilled at putting people who were very anxious at ease as he escorted them into the treatment room. My condolences to his family.

Robert started coming in to sit at our bar to eat at Texas Roadhouse in Peoria, AZ a few years ago. He came in and I got his name and when he came in the next week I said hey Rodger! And he then corrected me. And from then on we joked that was his name. That´s how he signed my Christmas/birthday and even the card he got for when I got married haha. He had such a fun and kind personality. He talked to everyone around him and always made you feel like family that you´d known your whole life. I am honored to call him a friend and really am glad I got to spend a few great years knowing him. He´s back with Banana Joe now! Sending prayers for your family <3

Every time I would see Robert he'd address me by saying "Hey, pretty lady" with that Chicago accent of his. It always put a smile on my face and then we would stand around and talk for way longer then I ever intended to lol. I'll miss our chats, my condolences to the familyand everyone who knew Robert. -Gina (the baby resident at Mera and a Cicero Native)

Robert will always be remembered as a new and true friend as well as a neighbor. He was always kind and helpful to all that crossed his path. I will miss him and his corny jokes. Bailey will forever miss him as her devoted Dad. God Bless and rest in peace until we meet again!

When we used to get together for the family gathering´s at my sister in laws house either for holidays or barbecues. The last time I was with Bobby was last year at White Sox Park (Guaranteed Rate Field) for Elvis night we all had a blast. Bobby loved his Chicago White Sox. I have memories of my husband Bob and Bobby. My husband was Uncle Bob and Bobby Ramirez was Uncle Bo Bo to our niece and nephew. Whenever I saw Bobby he greeted me with a hug and a warm smile. God took another Angel to Heaven
