Robert "Bob" Rapach Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 1, 2026, in
Hampton, Virginia, at the age of 61. Born on October 5, 1964, in Pennsylvania, Bob lived a life full of love, laughter, and passions.
Bob was a proud Navy veteran and a graduate of Grats High School in Philadelphia. He found his calling in the culinary arts, serving as the Head Chef at Tommy's Restaurant in
Hampton, VA, for over 20 years. His culinary skills were matched only by his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. Bob had a remarkable sense of humor and loved making people laugh, a gift that endeared him to all who knew him.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Bob was a supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. He also enjoyed playing pool and had a deep appreciation for all genres of music. His interests and hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life.
Bob was a man of faith, attending Catholic services throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Rapach Sr. and Paulette Higgins Rapach; his brothers, Christopher and Paul Rapach; and his grandson, Israel Rapach.
He is survived by his four sisters; Stephanie, Paulette, Maggie, and Mary, his loving children, son Desmond Rapach and daughter Christine Rapach; his cherished grandchildren, Pheno Glover, Nishay Rapach, Corrie Rapach, Mikia Smith, Ezra Rapach, and Samuel Rapach. Bob also leaves behind the mother of his children and friend, Leautonia Stoutamire, and his special friend, Kelly Hollingsworth.
Bob's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Services for Bob are pending, with burial arrangements to be announced at a later date.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of Bob's infectious laughter and the warmth he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
