Robert Lyle Rector

Robert (Bob) L. Rector, 76, of Milton crossed over into eternal life January 31, 2022 from complications to a recent surgery. Robert was born to the late Edward A. Rector and Doris Jean Scott in Laramie, WY.
Bob followed in his father's footsteps as a plumber/pipefitter, but after an injury, began a new career as a jeweler working many years for Beasley's Jewelers. In 1994 he married the love of his life Marquita and became what he always wanted to be, a "bonus dad" to Karen and Kathy. He loved to travel not only to his annual Pennsylvania family reunions, but visit and make lasting memories through the years with his daughters and their families traveling across the country. No matter the circumstances, one could always depend on Bob for a big warm teddy bear hug! He was quick to smile, slow to anger, full of love and of very strong faith! He was a great man who had a positive impact on many lives. He was a true child of God!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas E. Rector. He is survived by his wife, Marquita Rector; daughters, Karen (Mark) Roeseberg and Kathy (Davy) Burleson; Sister, Larametta Harvell; Brother, Scott (Angela) Rector; maternal aunt, Patsy Caughey; and grandchildren: Derek and Kelsey Roeseberg and Isaak and Kyle Burleson; Brothers in law, Walter (Pat) Buck Sr and William (Faye) Buck; Sister in law, Kathy Buck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob's pallbearers will be Derek Roeseberg, Kyle Burleson, Wes Harvell, Rick Harvell, Chuck Rector and Matt Harvell.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Wiggins and Rabbi Eric Tokajer officiating. Funeral service will be livestreamed from our website. Robert will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens Cemetery following the service.
