Robert A. Reed

Robert A. Reed died unexpectedly at age 59 on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. He was not only a father, but a husband, a talented writer (who is sorely missed as we struggle to write this), a faithful Marine (as if there's any other kind). He had a career as a civil servant for Defense Information Services Agency and director of its WESTHEM Columbus operations center, an avid hunter, dog lover, and big fan of "belly button watching."
He is survived by his wife Peggy, son Drew; daughter Erin; daughter-in-law Susie; two grandchildren Lewis and Vivian Reed; mother Pat Reed; four brothers: Mark (Lana), Dan (Joy), Joel (Carla), and Ben Reed; many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his inimitable and much missed father H. Kirk Reed.
The family will be hosting an open house and memorial gathering on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 1-4pm at Primrose Retirement Community in the Billiard Room (1481 Wesley Way, Lancaster, OH 43130). Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREAMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.
