Robert Reed, age 87 of Orville, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Life Care Ohio Hospice in Wooster, Ohio. He was born on April 3, 1937 in Hueysville, Kentucky to the late Creed and Dolly (Prater) Reed.
Robert proudly served our country in both the Marine Corps and the US Army. He was also the past commander of the Plymouth Legion. Robert enjoyed restoring cars and was very faithful to his church. He was a very generous and giving man who lived his life by the motto of "better to give than to receive."
He is survived by his 3 sons and their wives, Robert (Gail) Reed of Nashville, TN, Richard (Heather) Reed of Wooster, OH and Rodney (Traci) Reed of Delaware, OH; grandchildren, Richard Jr, Jacob, Hailey, Kaleb, Chase, Liam, Dianna, Colin and Carter; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Rephard, Hersal, Sue and Rita; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Percilla Reed whom passed away on January 4, 2024, siblings, Ogil, Gene, Bud and Juanita.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Snode and Pastor Schag officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in New Haven, Ohio. Online condolences can be made to Robert's family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
