Robert Eugene Reed, age 72 of Rogersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 21, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1953 to the late Hugh Lester and Doris Reed in Johnson City.
Robert graduated from Science Hill High School. He later on answered the call to ministry and served Upper Room Family Worship Center in Johnson City. He also worked in HVAC for over 30 years. Robert loved trout fishing and spending time outdoors and in nature. In his last years he enjoyed most playing on the ring camera with his great-grandson, Noah.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life whom he was married to for 48 years, Debbie Reed "Juliet", son-in-law, Kevin Bailey, grandson-in-law, Dakota Sams, and his beloved chihuahua Jaden.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bobbie Jean Bailey, Amy Denise Reed, and Robert "Robby" (Melissa) Reed, Heather Hofmeier, grandchildren, Alley Reed, Aisha Reed, Britni Sams, Alyssa Bailey, Sarah Peters, Isaac Byrd, Dustin McCurry, Aaron McCurry, Chance Peters, Brittanie O'Neal, Jessica Frank, Sierra Carroll, Cody Nix, and Kade Orr; great-grandchildren, Lakelynn, Ronan, Austin, Noah, Grayson, Opal, David, Caspian, Orion, Quentin, Ariel, Sammuel, Maverick, Gwendolyn, Braelyn, Dakota, Aubriella, Christopher, Alexis, Evan, Brooklyn, Kalena, Gavin, Sawyer, Anakin, Emmi, Jax, Charlie, and Benny, and brother, Todd (Robin) Reed, sister, Judy (Carrol) Dobbins, special aunt who he thought of as a sister, Jean Arnett, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm in Malone-Peregoy Cemetery (347 Malone Rd. Watauga, TN) on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Rev. Tony Thompson will be officiating, and active pallbearers will be Isaac Byrd, Jayden Ellison, Kent Black, Cody Knight, Jonathan Dugger, and Daniel Gardner. All attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 pm.
