Robert Reynolds Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home - Springfield on Jan. 3, 2026.
Robert "Bob" Reynolds, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born on October 12, 1936, in Springfield, MO the son of the late Leroy and Florence Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by the love of his wife, Doris Reynolds along with his 12 siblings.
He is survived by his children, RJ Reynolds; Diana (Chris) Britain; and Randy (Shari) Klassen; grandchildren, Miranda (Andy) Heffner, Jason (Tiffany) Britain, Josiah Klassen, and Jaron Klassen; two great-grandchildren, Owen Britain and Baylee Britain; and many friends whose lives were brightened by his presence.
Bob went home to heaven, taking his one-way ticket back to his wife. While hearts are heavy, there is comfort in knowing they are together again.
Bob was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. He loved through action, not just words, and what you saw was always what you got-honest, real, and unwavering. He was generous to his core, a true handyman who loved teaching others how to fix, build, and figure things out. His yard was magazine-worthy, his cars were always just the way he liked them, and he took pride in everything he did. He especially enjoyed attending gun shows with his son, time he truly cherished.
Family meant everything to Bob. He was sharp, quick-witted, full of wisdom, and always ready with the perfect joke or comeback. He loved food-especially Chinese, Chick-fil-A, Andy's Custard (bread, and anything chocolate). His final meal, a Chick-fil-A frosted coffee, felt perfectly fitting.
A proud patriot, Bob served 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Even at 89, he stayed active and on the move. He also loved dancing-square dancing, line dancing, and two-stepping-where his joy always shined.
Bob will be deeply missed for his wisdom, humor, honesty, and the way he loved so deeply. But there is peace knowing he is home now-likely teasing his wife, fixing something, and dancing with her once again.
